Singapore's highest profiled Miss Universe entrant has turned heads with her poise and wit. Does she have as much grace with her love life?

Beauty and brains, that's a tried and tested combination for a tush-tossing femme fetale.

But can the recently-dazzled-with-Puerto-Rican-glamour Jaime Teo pull off some loving as well?

Cupid doesn't always strike right

Our vivacious beauty ambassador with her cavalier hit-me-baby attitude may give the impression of cool control. And her quick fire retorts certainly put you in place, especially when you tell her beauty queens are bimbotic.

But her one spot that makes her weak in the knees is boyfriend Luke.

They started out as friends while still schooling in Ngee Ann Polytechnic but it wasn't at all the fairytale love-at-first-sight setting for them. Read if friends can be lovers at the same time here.

In fact, the media-shy 29-year old Luke actually had his eye on Jaime's best friend. But who could ever resist Jaime's candid demeanour and alluring charm?

The rest, as they say, is history and the happy couple have been in love for the past 3 years.

Ooh, that's annoying!

As rosy as love is, human habits have the uncanny ability to ruffle up the feathers every now and then, even for picture-perfect beauties and this one easy-going guy.

Here's how Jaime drives Luke crazy (and we don't just mean the bad things):

Cooking pains
"Luke's a very sweet guy but sometimes when I cook for him, he'll ask me,' Why do you hold the handle this way?' or say 'My mom doesn't cook it this way.'"

Maybe this guy should try his hand at cooking before giving his comments.
Who's the best?
"I take criticisms personally and it's not nice when he compares me with other girls."

Watch out, cat-claws alert!

Holding hands
"This one's more like a peculiar familiarity. I just have to hold Luke's hand with my pinkie on the outside. If it's reversed, it just feels weird."

Little nuances like these make a couple special, don't they?

Natural beauty
"I used to be able to get ready in just 20 minutes before we went out. But now, because I put on make-up, it takes me much longer.

Nobody likes to be kept waiting, even for a beauty queen!

Toilet fights
"I definitely like the toilet seat up but he doesn't."

Ah, the age-old battle of loo etiquette.

But these are just little bumps along the love road for Jaime.

"If it's not important to break you up, then find a compromise, or even quarrel about it if you have to. But don't let it tear the you apart," the optimist on a permanent high advises.
