Mango die-hards ought to hang themselves should they give the popular Spanish brand's summer collection a miss.

Aimed at dressing the young, urban and fashionable woman, Mango oozes harmony, comfort and style. This is reflected in the 4 basic lines of its apparels, namely dressing (the evergreen suit for the woman at work), casual (easy-going and versatile mix & match garments), evening (sophisticated clothing) and sportswear (informal and cool clothes).

Succumbing to the revival of the mod look, Mango is making waves with its accentuated, impeccable qualities; and taste of the delectable style of the bourgeois this season.

Remember Cyndi Lauper's gaudy tops, your mum's flamboyant leopard prints and loud gold accessories or your aunt's rock-a-delic stripe dresses?

Looking towards a revival period, Mango pays homage to the chic icons of the oh-so-ostentatious 80s this summer.

Indeed, tis' the season to be showy. So if you've got what it takes, flaunt it!

The Modern Underground 80s

Think pop culture. This attitudinarian line sure is paving its way well into the 21st century. Dramatic and dynamic, their over-the-top prints screams for your attention and seduces you into a state of constant craving for the likes of Cher, Tina Turner and Paula Abdul.

Cowboy Western

Gone is the cowboy's folksy touch of the past. The neo-Wild Wild West vaquero now takes on the charms with the cosmopolitan spirit of Las Vegas. Representing true-blue all-American flavour, the western look bewitches and impresses.

Military Chic

Be spellbound by the metallic camouflage prints as we girls prove that we can rough it out - in the city too, that is. National Service men, forget about going home to change out of your uniforms upon booking out of camp. Get on your date with your girlfriend in your combat gear instead! As the saying goes: If you can't beat them, join them.

Bourgeois

An infinity of graphic patterns, Op Art and moiré effect - these are some terms that describe the gold and silvery fabrics on the fashion walkway. Intermittent signals like the Morse code adds fun and a flirtatious touch to the otherwise monotonous stitches. Displaying contemporary femininity, the not-so-discreet belts, buckles and fasteners gives the new-age attire a somewhat rich and sensuous feel.
