Purplelips Blasts Off!

Purplelips, eastciti's website for the modern Asian woman, launched officially at Wisma Atria and Raffles Place over the weekend with an energetic opening dance number, lots of games and prizes, and that all crucial ingredient, beefy hunks.

Lady shoppers at Wisma Atria met with a pleasant treat last Saturday - the unveiling of eastciti's new website for women, Purplelips. Created with the modern female in mind, the website offers a woman everything she needs to get ahead in today's fast-paced world. On hand at the road show were surfing stations to allow visitors to navigate through the brand new website, which was in a cool purple which caught the eye of all present.

Purple turned out to be the colour of choice that day in more ways than one - any woman with the colour purple on her walked away with an eastciti goodie bag chockfull with giveaways. From lilac eye-shadow to fuchsia-coloured stilettos, the fairer sex readily flaunted their purple assets and happily walked away with the prizes. Female shoppers who signed up on that day for the free Purplelips membership also received a pretty satin Purplelips bag containing a vial of Lolita Lempicka's latest perfume, guest passes to California Fitness Centers, French Kiss lingerie vouchers and other free goodies. The fact that the gifts in the bag were chosen specially for females didn't faze the men though - many could be seen signing up on the spot, perhaps on behalf of wives or girlfriends.

Cute Perfect 10 DJ Edmund Toh, a splitting image of Growing Up's Steven Lim, was MC for the day and did an admirable job of whipping up enthusiasm, especially among the ladies. Together with 4 handsome hunks, he charmed the pants, or should I say skirts, off the women he managed to bait onto stage. Edmund was also present at the Raffles Place road show on Monday where he worked the lunchtime crowd into a frenzy. Seen crowding around the Purplelips' tent were throngs of ladies who eagerly signed up for their free membership. As one lady put it, "It's free and about time we had a local website for women. There are so many magazines for women out there but this is the first time a local website has been set up specifically for the fairer sex."
