The newly crowned Ms Singapore Universe
will be jetted off to Robert Clemente Coliseum in San Juan,
Puerto Rico to represent Singapore in Miss Universe International
2002 on May 29, 2002. What's more, she will stand to win $10,
000 cash and a MediaCorp contract. The 1st and 2nd runner-up
will each receive $3000 and $1000 respectively. Subsidiary
prizes of $500 will also be given out.
The semi-finals held on Feb 6 saw some
33 contestants whittled down to the final 20 who would vie
for the crown for Ms Singapore Universe 2002. The first subsidiary
award (out of a total of 6), Miss Photogenic, has been awarded
prior to the finals to Contestant 3, Callie Sui Yong.

Ms Singapore Universe 2002 finals
will be telecast 'live' on Mar 23 over MediaCorp TV Channel
5 from 7.30pm - 9.30pm. But first, don't miss the gruelling
semi-finals selection (held on Feb 6, 2002) on Channel 5,
March 10 at 7pm.
