three's not a crowd…

It
has been the rage for some time now. Girl Power.
The newest drama on Channel
8, aptly named Three
Women And A Half explores the degree of Girl Power in the modern
corporate world. Ever seen its trailer of veteran, Huang Wenyong
being bullied by women in his office?
He's
that 'half-woman'. Why? A single parent, he is both father and mother
to his young daughter and has no qualms about taking care of household
chores. He also has to take care of a sister, played by Vivian Lai.
Inevitably,
his mannerisms can be rather womanly, thus that title of half a
woman. The other women in his life are his manageresses, Huang Biren,
Aileen Tan and Vivian Lai (yes, his sister is his boss too).
Freddie Leow, the executive producer says, "I
believe that veterans are great actors and actresses who have their
charisma. That is my motivation behind this production."
Indeed,
the storyline of career-minded women turning to unscrupulous means
to climb up the corporate ladder is very close to heart and makes
for great drama.
"The most interesting scenes in this serial
are its fighting and quarrelling scenes among the 3 manageresses,"
say Wenyong and Vivian unanimously.
"At
first, I have difficulty getting into the character for these scenes
as I don't have the anger. But Aileen is rather good. She brought
me into the mood," smiles pretty Vivian.
 "Oh.
You are saying that Aileen is fierce lah?" Rayson and Wenyong start
making fun of her, and she ends up sprawled helplessly on the table,
unable to retort.
Sexy siren Aileen
In the drama, Aileen's character Jane is a smart
woman who resorts to using her beauty and sexiness to gain power
in the company. There is no lack of scenes where she dress up in
revealing clothes and charms the pants off her male clients.
 If
those scenes aren't scintillating enough, Aileen seduces and forces
kisses Rayson's character (her brother-in-law) in a bid to revenge
her sister (played by Cheng Di, the girl in As You Like It) in yet
another no-holds-barred scene you've got to watch out for.
When asked how she feels about kissing Rayson,
the uninhibited Aileen bursts out laughing and says, "Shiok!"
She quips, "Usually in such kissing scenes,
the man forces it on the woman and after inevitable struggling,
the woman will soften and succumb. In this case, it is the opposite!"
Talk about Girl Power man.
