July 19, 2001
So… who wore what? We cast the spotlight
on the togs of the nominees and presenters at the recent Radio Music
Awards.

 Some
said that it ain't what you win at the
Oscar
ceremonies
and equivalent, but what you wear that makes the statement.
(Think Coco
Lee and her striking Chanel gown that created an uproar at the
Oscar's red carpet.)
It's no wonder that the stars strutted only their best stuff at
the recent Radio
Music Award (RMA) -- MediaCorp's
answer to the Grammy Awards.
Check out the glitz and glamour of the
night!
 Fann
Wong
Heartbeats must have come to a halt when the ravishing MediaCorp
Princess sashayed her way onstage.
And you now fully understand why Emporio Armani crowned her the
first
ambassador in Asia.
Gucci guy - Christopher Lee
Presenting… Gucci's latest Autumn/Winter wear!
The MediaCorp A-lister, who was decked from head to toe in the international
fashion house's sponsored gear, looked simply smashing!
"The entire outfit cost more than $3,000, I think," Christopher
revealed.
"I like this (fashion) coordination pretty much. In fact, I may
consider buying the jeans and beret."
Sisters unite!
Much as they've united to make the RMA a roaring success, MediaCorp
DJs Petrina Kow, Carrie Chong and Vernetta Lopez went as far as
slipping into the frocks from the same designer, Gianni Versace.
Now, that's the family spirit!
Globetrotting shopper - Terence Cao
Ricky Martin adores it. So does the hunky actor. Check out that
leathery pair of D2 shoes on his feet!
"I got a friend to buy them from London... Cost
about S$900."
As for his flamboyant top, "It's from Roberto
Cavali. Bought them from Hongkong at about S$800."
  Mafia
King - Keagan Kang
It's goody boy-next-door no more.
Keagan told us that he wanted to be a macho
man. A mafia gangster, to be precise.
Thanks to stylish Johnny Khoo, we see that his
desire has come true.
Now, even babelicious Ase Wang and Vernetta
Lopez can't resist falling into his arms.
Sister2sister:
You can't bead me!
The Aussie siblings were not nominated for any
award, but ooh, who can forget their adrenaline-pumping performance
as they jived and jiggled in their tiny sequinned tops?
Equally awe-inspiring was their jeans, which
were spiced up with glitzy beads.
And mind you, it's a DIY effort.
"Sharon and I were crazy over beads for a while!"
Christine exclaimed.
What better occasion to showcase their handiwork
than at the RMA?
