Celest Chong gets married

Okay, so you weren't invited to Celest's "wedding
ceremony". No sweat! We bring you the highlights and the juicy details.
3.00pm Guests' Arrival
The guests start arriving and everyone is smiling at each other.
Naturally, since it is a joyous occasion for both 'bride' and 'groom'.
The happy relatives of the groom (read: the
record company's executives) who have been busy preparing every
detail (right up the blowing of the balloons that were used as decorations)
over the weekend of the wedding reception are bursting with happiness.
The hospitable bunch keeps asking the guests to, "Help yourselves
to the food."
  3.30pm
Bride Walks Down The Aisle
Host for the ceremony, Danny Yeo, introduces the bride. Sharing
her joy and happiness, the happy bride breaks out into a self-penned
song live, with an acoustic guitar as accompaniment.

3.45pm Speech By The Groom's Parents
Ecstatic mother-in-law, Debra, (General Manager of Universal
Music) cannot wait to tell all who are present about the "love story"
that took place between the bride and groom.
"Universal Music Singapore has grown up and it has come to a time
when he is ready for marriage," says the happy mother-in-law.
And that was why they started a headhunting operation for the perfect
girlfriend and wife.
"A lot of people made lots of recommendations,"
she continued. Invariably, Celest's name came up.
"We started to frantically look for her photos (then, she was still
an undiscovered talent)… and we had to be discreet because we did
not want others to know."
Recalls Debra," The first time we met each other, it felt like a
matchmaking session… After that first meeting, Universal fell head
over heels in love with Celest and began his courtship"
"After going steady for 3 months, she finally agreed to our marriage
proposal and we were ecstatic."
So what are their plans after the holy matrimony? "We plan to have
a baby soon," reveals Debra who has plans to help Celest release
her very first album by the end of this year.

4.00pm Dowry Presentation
To show how happy they are with this stunning and talented daughter-in-law,
the 2 parents specially designed a set of '4 pieces of gold' as
dowry for the new addition in their Universal family.
When presented with the set of jewellery which
included a bangle, a necklace, a star shaped pendant and a pair
of star shaped earrings (to wish her well in the road to stardom
we presume), Celest looks visibly surprised and touched at the same
time.

4.05pm Bride professes her commitment
After listening to some warm wishes by some people, (big brother
William So included), the joyful bride makes a short and sweet thank-you
speech.
"I am really touched by the effort put in. I will work very very
hard for my new home."
Looks like Universal has found itself a dutiful 'wife'.
Celest makes her thank you speech.
