| Fann
misses Singapore's weather
April 04, 2001
Tired of the burning heat and the sudden
downpours in hot and wet Singapore? This is one thing Fann has learnt
to appreciate while filming overseas.

"North, south, east, west, home is the best!" To Fann
who is currently filming a new Taiwanese drama serial, Legend
of the White Snake , in Shanghai till June, this sentiment has
never felt stronger.
"This is the first time I am going away from
home for so long," she says in a phone interview. Prior to this,
the longest she has ever stayed overseas is a month or so.
"Usually I come back for 1 or 2 weeks before
going back to continue with filming." And this is precisely why
she misses home so badly.
Lonely Fann
Away from her loving family, caring friends, supportive fans, bungalow
and green Mercedes (both pride and joy purchased with her hard-earned
money), the feeling of homesickness can sometimes be unbearable.
"There is nothing much to do there except sleep
and work," says Fann who quips that a typical day starts from 5am
and can jolly well end late in the night.
"When I am free, I will either be resting or
reading the script."
And perhaps, the only consolation resides in
the fact that good friend (and rumoured paramour), Christopher Lee
is by her side.
So does she sometimes feel as if they only have each other in the
world? "To a certain extent," says Fann with a thoughtful pause.
The media-wary star was however quick to add,
"I think that everyone on the set feels the same way since we are
all from different countries."
