Another war serial? Yes, this time with Nanxing and Priscelia Chan.

Lee Nanxing As Banshang Tailang
Nanxing has been away from the small screen for quite some time. Not to worry, faithful fans. Besides appearing in a 90-minute episode in the serial, he will also take part in the Heartstrings charity show on October 1. Dare To Strike, in which he stars alongside Ann Kok and Julian Cheung, will be telecast on November 14. The icing on the cake is that he has just signed a 5-year-contract with MediaCorp Studios as well.

Nanxing plays a patriotic 28-year-old, one who believes all along that he is Japanese, only to discover, to his horror, that he has Chinese blood in him. Banshang Yilang's father, Wu Shirong (played by Chen Shucheng), married a Japanese woman in his younger days and his family rejected her. Left with no choice, Shirong sent both mother and son back to Japan and later lost contacts with them. Yilang becomes a general later and is saddened and shocked at news of his real heritage. He acknowledges his father but this causes him to fall into a dilemma regarding his loyalty. His enemies in the army take advantage of this knowledge and create trouble for him.

When Nanxing told us about his character, he talked faster and faster and eventually just recited from memory with his eyes closed. Looks like all the artistes have digested their script way before filming starts. Although he appears in only 1 episode, his role is one which gives him free rein. He says, "The truth of Yilang's heritage comes as a shock to him; he finds it hard to accept the fact. Same thing for the father, because Yilang suddenly comes to him and tells him that he is his son. Moreover, the culture of father and son is different. I'll have some emotional scenes."

Nanxing, welcome back!

Do we really want to watch more war-related serials?

Mediacorp, Tresure Li Nanxing! He is the only actor that have all the talents and goodlooks to be a big star!

Li Nanxing is a good actor, Mediacorp should appreciate his hard work. It's a waste for not recognising real talents.

Li nanxing is still the best, best in looks, charisma and acting. Don't understand why TCS seems to cast him aside and Eastciti never interviewed him? Hope TCS and Eastciti will cherish this rare actor!

I find that Vincent Ng is the most terrible actor in TCS. He cannot act well and I find that the only thing he can do well is all those "Gondfu stunt". He looks so unreal when he acts. Although, he is quite popular but I think talents and potentials are more important than popularity. So TCS please, give more chances to others who really can act well. Such as Ix Shen, he has improves a lot, Terrence Cao, Li Nanxing, Xie Shao guang. I'm sure they will not disappoint the viewers.Vincent Ng really no improvement, he should ateend some classes.
