Celest Chong is in love…with 2 men!

All Rolled Into One
Stereotyped she would not be as Celest sees Pam is the culmination of many people into one. "She resembles Elaine, Ling in Ally McBeal, Phoebe in Friends. They connected her with the blond, bombshell in WTLC. I think it was after a while that I realized she resembles all these people. Initially I wasn't quite sure where she stood. You only read the pilot but as time went by, you start to grow this character and it becomes something else altogether."

Looks like she has a good grasp on the Pam within when she says, "Pam is somebody who's really liberated and very confident of whom she is. She's trying to find somebody who she can share intelligent conversation with, somebody who can get past just the way she looks. But she refuses to dress down or change her image. She wants to be accepted for who she is and what she is. She's yearning to find someone who can see beyond that and share a more emotional relationship with her."

The man of her dreams turns out to be Steve, played by American actor Jimmy T. "I'm supposed to be very in love with Steve." Will there be any intimate love scenes then? She jumps to her defence like a friend, "No… Pam's not like that. She's totally not that way, not into that kind of romantic intimacy. She's more like hilarious, bombshell laughter…"

Love Is…
The tanned long-tressed beauty is probably the dream girl of many men. So, what does love mean to her? She says earnestly, "A special feeling that you get inside when something happens in front of you or when you see something beautiful. It could be the most horrible thing that people imagined it to be but if you see something beautiful in it, then it's love, I think. I mean love can be divided into so many things…maternal love, love for my rabbit. It's something that happens inside. That everybody has. It's something special…it's a gift."

Making love Is…
How about making love, not the series but you know… She tries hard to keep a straight face and says without hesitation, "Making love is fun! (then breaks into rapturous laughter) I mean it's been really fun doing… Making Love the series …"

When she knew that we meant business, she says with all seriousness, "Making love is difficult." There was a pause before she breaks into her all-familiar laughter.

Making Love debuts September 26, every Tuesday at 8.30pm on TCS 5.
