It was a Legendary opportunity not
to be missed - we met the Caldecott Princess twice in 2 days,
both during the Concert @ the Bay on August 9 and the celebratory
dinner for The Legendary Swordsman the next day. So, we grilled
her on the latest gossip (about a certain Mr Lee) and what
she has been up to.

August 12> During the Concert @ the Bay, Fann sang
2 of her songs, Luv, Luv, Luv and Yueliang De Mimi (loosely
translated as The Secret of the Moon). How does she feel about
her performance? "I felt tremendously honoured, of course.
That was already after 10 pm but there were still many people
around, I was very happy then," she said.
On Christopher Lee
Fann has a 10-episode serial, Xin Suo (loosely translated
as The Lock Of The Heart), coming up in September, also starring
Christopher Lee. "Chris and I are good friends, I hope we
can have more sparks this time and not laugh so much during
the scenes," she said.
Seeing a golden opportunity to bring up
the rumoured relationship between them, we probed, "How about
some sparks of love between the 2 of you?" I thought my question
was obvious enough but apparently Fann did not get our meaning
or she chose to 'act blur'. "Yeah, we are a couple in the
serial," she said. Nothing could be read from her expression.
"No, I mean in reality," we tried again.
She replied, "No, we are friends. Chris
is a very diligent actor, he is someone worthwhile to befriend
on a deeper level."
I went on to ask her which male co-star
she was most comfortable with. "Everyone, like Shaoguang,
Hanwei and Jianhui. Each has their good points," came her
cautious reply. Looks like she was not going to Fann the flames
of gossipmongers.
If given free rein, what role would she
like to play? "Any role, actually. I don't even mind to put
on a mole! I'm game for anything."
On Her Fourth Album
"We are preparing for the album already but I cannot disclose
when it will hit the market yet. Hope it will be soon," she
revealed. So what difference will there be between this album
and her past 3? "Hopefully it will give people a different
feeling, I hope it will bring them closer to Fann."
On Her Pictorial
Fann said, "We are done with the pictures for the pictorial.
I spent 2 days in Hong Kong to shoot them. It won't have so
much of sexy shots, more like a new, natural Fann. You will
be wrong if you think that posing for photographs is a relaxed
job." She was so committed to the project that even though
she fell sick on Day 1, she kept to the schedule. "I even
threw up at the airport before coming back."
On Charity
"A lot of friends and the media have written in to ask why
I am not involved in the last NKF Show. And I have said that
I wanted to be involved but I was having rehearsals for my
concert at that time. My company said, 'Fann, you have this
and that, you are not a superwoman.' So, I was left out of
it in the end."
She said she would like to be involved
in next year's NKF show and other charity events. "I definitely
would like to do my part for charity. Doing charity is like
I'm returning back to what society has given me. And as an
artiste, I can use my name to garner funds. So, be it big
or small charity events, I'm really keen on doing my part.
I've also expressed my interest to my company and hopefully,
they will make arrangements for that to happen."
On President's Star Charity
We heard that Fann might be involved in the upcoming PCK Musical.
She confirmed it, saying, "As for the coming PSC, it's quite
confirmed that I'll be involved. I would say pretty much 100%
I'm in. I've been informed about it but so far, they've been
trying to arrange for my schedule to fit into the rehearsals.
But maybe my role would not be a big one as I think my schedule
might not allow as I might be filming during that time."
