The brightly-lit Indoor Stadium slowly blacked out and piercing screams shrilled your ear drums. You held on tight to your chair... as excitment sipped in!

Without any warnings, bright light shones in your eyes and four men in black appeared atop the sloping stage, shaped like the inside of a TV set's cathode-ray tube.

Welcome to Wu Bai and China Blue's Real World Asian Tour Live Concert!

By Elisa Chia

Back in Singapore to deliver an electrying gig as they promised in their press conference that was held in early March, Wu Bai and China Blue enthralled over 8,000 audiences with a furious medley of Mandarin and Hokkien numbers on 25 March.

Wu Bai is a undoubtedly a true performer. There's no need for flashy costumes (only black) or slick dance moves. Armed with an electric guitar and loads of talent, audiences were already swept by his power with only three songs into the concert. His words of encouragement such as "C'mon! Sing with me!" or "Clap along!" were almost redundant. Look around you and you realised that your neighbours (read: the audiences sitting beside you) were most voluntarily swaying on their feets and singing along with Taiwan's "King of Live Music". His popular hits like White Pigeon and Wanderer's Love Song simply set them wild on a higher octave.

Wu Bai - the true performer 'live' in action

Wu Bai showed his power!

"Clap along with me!"

And they did...

As I've realised from the press conference, Wu Bai's every bit your boy-next-door! My judgement is testified time and again from his gig. He's cool. He's cute. He's mischievious too!

Show me Wu Bwingerai's "monkey acts"!
